A chart or something, of what babies are allowed to eat at 8-9 months?

Tianna can eat a lot of things now even though she doesn't have teeth yet, as long as it's mushy she likes to chew things..

but i don't know if she's allowed to eat like Mangoes, Strawberries etc..

can she eat our food now? my friend (her baby is a year old now).. started her baby on solids -baby cereal etc at 3 months and already ate the same food they were eating by 8 months..

so i was wondering if its safe to do so now too?

Tianna actually has skipped the sippy cup like her cousin (mommy_k's daughter sabrina) and likes to drink water with a straw lol.

I gave her some milk (regular milk not formula) and she liked it, and didn't get any rashes, gas, or anything like that so i guess she's not allergic.. but im not giving it to her to supplement her formula.. just wanted to see if it was allowed LOL..

what else can i give her? she's getting tired of the jarred foods and screams at me for mine.. i've given her bread (and she scarffed down on it lol).. but i don't know what i can give her now! LOL.. since she doesn't have teeth yet, but she chews on food like she does! lol

i was kind of like you...i just used my judgment, and gave her whatever I was eating..and carefully watched to make sure she didnt have any reactions. And watched her swallow reflex to make sure she could handle it! does she do the hand to mouth reflex yet...as far as giving her something and she puts it in her mouth? Myla at that age loved.mmmm....yo baby yogurt, puffs, cheerios (which i thought was too early with no teeth, but it was said to be ok!)(different flavors Yogurt Burst, apple cinnamon), flavored oatmeal, french fries (the little skinny ones like McDs ). Im sure i gave her other things....it seems like such a long time ago...although it wasnt!!!

she definitely loves to chew even though she has no teeth.. i gave her mac and cheese yesterday lol.. and she liked it a lot.. her poop was real smelly though LOL..

she does the hand to mouth thingie, she'll grab whatevers on the table (like i'll put those biter biscuits) and she'll grab it and shove it in her mouth LOL..

her pincer grasp is the only thing that's lacking.. she still doesn't know how to do it.. she'll do it once in awhile, but she uses her whole tiny hand to grab things lol..

I went by the Gerber feeding plan. You can find it on <a href="http://www.Gerber.com" target="_blank">http://www.Gerber.com (http://www.Gerber.com)</a>, under "start healthy",you can print out a feeding plan. It kinda gave me an idea of what to feed my babies (I used it on both of them). Tianna is the best eater!!! lol ...i love how she just eats and eats and eats everything and anything! Enjoy these moments coz Sabrina just started being picky and its not really fun right now
